Quiz System my Project with documentation

INTRODUCTION

The QUIZ is a  application for to take offline test in an efficient manner and no time wasting for checking the paper. The main objective of  QUIZ is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated system that not only saves lot of time but also gives fast results. For students they give papers according to their convenience and time and there is no need of using extra thing like paper, pen etc. This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate world. Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application(user location doesn’t matter). No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

It is good source of interactivities among students and between the teacher and students. It is done in order to improve student‘s comprehension levels and learning motivation.  As one of their tools, online test tools are quite effective. However, in order to use the online test tool, a teacher is generally required a great deal of labour.
For example, a teacher needs to create quizzes and input them in the online test tool.
In order to solve these problems, we have developed a Web-based online test system which can create quizzes competitively and collaboratively by students for the purpose of reducing the load required for a teacher and promoting interactions among students and between the teacher and students.
PROBLEM DEFINITION

To create or develop a new system first we have to study the prior system, Analysis difficult problems faced by the operator of that system. System Analysis therefore understands such problems and proposes a new system in which the above problems are rectified.

v  The management faces many problems in manual system Like
·         1.Registration of all new students
·         2.Details of teachers
                         3.Details of Courses, batch

SCOPE SYSTEM
Scope of this project is very broad in terms of other manually cheking yourself.
Few of them are:-
-This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate world.
-Can be used anywhere any time as it is a desctop application
-No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

It saves time as it allows number of students to give the exam at a time and displays the results as the test gets over, so no need to wait for the result. It is automatically generated by the system.  Administrator has a privilege to create, modify and delete the test
papers and its particular questions. User can register, login and give the test with his specific id, and can see the results as well.
FACT FINDING TECHNIQUE

At the time of system or before starting actual work of system, Analysis has to collect information about manual system the user for which the system is going to be developed.
In order to collect this information, System Analyst prefers any one of the following fact finding techniques or prefer two or more fact finding techniques
According to the situation:-
·         Interview
·         Questionnaire
·         Record View
·         Observation
  INTERVIEW
This method is used to collect the information from groups or individuals. Analyst selects the people are related with the system of interview. In this method the analysts sits face to face with the people and record their responses.
 QUESTIONNARE
It is the technique used to extract information from number of people. The questionnaire consists of series of questions framed together in logical manner. This method is very useful for attaining information from people who are concerned with the usage of the system .The questionnaire can be mailed or send to people by post. This is the cheapest source of fact finding.

RECORD VIEW
The information related to the system is published in the sources like newspapers, magazines, journal, documents, Etc.
This record review helps the analyst to get valuable information about the system and the organization.
 OBSERVATION:-
Unlike the other fact finding techniques, in this method the analyst himself visits the organization and observes and understand the flow of documents, working of exiting system etc. for this method to be adopted it takes an analyst to perform this job as he knows which point should be noticed and highlighted.
FEASIBILITY STUDY
It is necessary and prudent to evaluate the feasibility of a project at the earliest possible time. There may be different ways of checking whether a system is feasible or not the following feasibility studies were performed to gauge the feasibility of system.

v Operational Feasibility
In this test the operational scope of the system is checked. The system under consideration should have enough operational reach. It is observed that the proposed system is very user friendly and since the system is built with enough help even persons with little knowledge of windows can find the system very easy.

v Technical Feasibility
This test includes a study of function, performance and constraints that may affect the ability to achieve an acceptable system. This test begins with an assessment of the technical viability of the proposed system. One of the main fusers to be accessed is the need of various kinds of resources for the successful implementation for the proposed system.

v Economical Feasibility:
An evaluation of development cost weighted against the ultimate income or benefit from the development of the proposed system is made. Care must be taken that incurred in the development of the proposed of the system should not exceed from the system. The income can be in terms of many or goodwill, since the software brings both, the system is highly viable.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENT
v Hardware Requirement:
§   CPU    :      Pentium IV & more.
§  RAM    :      512MB &more.
v Software Requirement:
§  Operating System:    Windows XP &more
§  JDK1.8.0
§  Microsoft Access
v Front end:
·        java

v Backend:
·         Microsoft Access
